A crosscut sled is a great way to make perfectly square cuts and miters.
This sled is designed to be large enough to cut small cutting boards but small enough to use for your most intricately built mitered corner boxes and picture frames.
Features Include:
- Built in hold down clamp system
- Stop block for accurately repeated cuts
- Guides that lock into the t-style miter gauge slots on your table saw top to prevent lifting during cuts that leads to inaccurate miters
- Cuts parts up to approximately 13" wide and 1" thick
In these easy to follow plans I'll walk you through how I build this sled from start to finish including:
- Quantity and size of the parts needed
- Links to hardware used
- Tips for getting the fence square and making perfect cuts
Note: Plans are for left tilting saws but can be simply built mirrored for right tilt.
Once purchase is completed you'll be able to download the .pdf file containing the full color plans. You may use these plans to create your own board and print if needed.
