The Process

So how does this all work you ask?

It all starts with you reaching out with a description or maybe some photos of the style and general concept of the custom piece you're looking to have commissioned.

Once I get to know what you like and don't like we can start to work out your design concept and start creating some renderings of the piece.

We'll also need to establish a budget in the early stages so that we can choose materials and design concepts appropriately and avoid surprises in the coming steps.

Once we have the design and price agreed upon, in most cases I'll ask for a 50% deposit to get started. This will go towards materials and the initial work to get the project started as well as the design process we have previously worked through. The remainder and any shipping will be due at completion. Larger projects may have several milestone payments.

The overall design and build process can take just a few weeks for smaller projects. Larger projects can take months to source the right pieces of wood and craft a piece that will allow your vision to become reality.

Finally, the completed piece will be presented to you!
